From purchase to habit
CRM implementation without a draining project
CRM usually fails in rollout, not in features. A successful implementation means a clear goal, trustworthy data, a real pipeline, short training and a pilot on live deals. This page lays out that path.
1. Lock a goal and a metric
One goal is enough: no deal without a next follow-up, or website leads answered in under a day. If everything is a goal, nothing is measured.
2. Clean data before you import
Merge duplicates, drop dead numbers and standardise sources. A dirty spreadsheet import burns trust in week one.
3. Configure a simple pipeline and few required fields
Fewer stages, fewer required fields, clear roles. Every extra required field is a reason not to log. Leave complexity for month two.
4. Pilot with a few people and live deals
Do not move the whole company overnight. Spend two weeks with a small team on real opportunities, fix the snags, then add everyone else.
5. Attach the sales meeting to the system
If managers still demand a separate spreadsheet, the CRM stays empty. The product must be the source of truth. Reward complete logging; exceptions should not become the rule.
